Established stationery company with hundreds of wholesale clients bringing heritage presses in-house as the next phase of our studio. All equipment is operational and we have live client work queued (including book projects).We are seeking an experienced press operator.
Immediate need:
– Heidelberg KOR/KORA offset (4-color experience strongly preferred)
– Makeready, registration, troubleshooting
– Ability to run jobs independently
As we ramp up:
– Heidelberg letterpress (we have three Heidelberg presses)
– Foil stamping
– Die cutting
– Embossing
This begins as freelance work for specific production runs and shop setup, with hours varying by project. Strong potential for ongoing work as production ramps.
Compensation:
– Initial freelance setup & production support: $60–$90/hr depending on experience
– This reflects short-term specialist / consulting-level work
– If the role evolves into a longer-term employee position, compensation would shift to a standard operator range based on responsibilities
– 4-hour minimum per scheduled day
– Paid weekly
